Is it a LCD TV? Wink

If it is a normal flat screen TV, it's quite common for banks to give free items, even applying for a credit card also can get a Sony TV (2 years back AMBank).

my advise, read the fine print properly, not all loans can get the free tv, maybe it's for loans above 500k? Banks are banks, they never give feebies unless they can recoup it back later. Business sense it's like enticing u ala Genting style, free rooms, and makan, but once there, potong u in the casino! Laughing

If it's a normal CRT TV, very cheap nowadays, get the made in China ones, 29 inches only less than 500rm. Wink

The LCD TV looks sweet.. which is why i am buying it .. to try out. My first. Decided to get a Toshiba against the Korean brands. Good for small place like my flat. SGD2k.

Buy a small one so that i can migrate it to my room later when i decide to buy a bigger one. The resolution will be upped by quite a bit next year.. so i'll just hang on to this for the time being.

By the time i bring back the TV, will be 2 to 3 years old .. i doubt if the customs will give a crap about them Very Happy

If you guys are after big ones, i find the Samsung 50" DLP is quite schweet. But i hate samsung so nothing like that for me.

Wow SGD 2k is really cheap, much cheaper than here, I think it's around 10k Rm for a 27" LCD (depending on resolution)

DLP similar to projection TV? Takes up a lot of space! Wink

Yep.. it's a revamped rear projection TV. A lot smaller in terms of space requirement but the screen is big. Pic quality is pretty good. From the front, looks like a huge huge plasma and only the stand gives it away.

Plasma is still my pick, resolution good, and the panel life can lasts 60K hours, that is close to 20years for an average of 8 hours of viewing a day!Very cheap if converted on a daily expense. Razz
