With 500k, my advise is to consider a condominium or shop lot. Houses naturally do not fetch good rentals.

Hi...
condo can get a better return. no need to buy cash, just get a loan and put back the money available to reduce principal and interest.

For small time investors, 4 is a good starting figure. Tax benefits etc.

tax benefits? Which one? Are you referring to the "4 property=business income"?
