Hi sifus,

Got a question. I have a loan which I will be able to pay off soon. Basically I've already put in a huge sum of money as capital repayment to reduce the interest rate. My question is, is it worth to clear the loan as fast as possible, or to keep the loan there so that I have liquid cash available? Of course if I pay off the loan, I wont have the amount of cash needed for future investments, etc...

Thanks.

am no sifu but here is my opinion..

it all depends on your personal investment strategy..if you would like to buy more property to invest then dont pay off your loan as you need the cash to do so..serious investors will always leverage on bank borrowings - having said that, one shouldnt go crazy with leveraging either as you must be sure you can meet all monthly instalments not only in current times but when the market go south as well..
