developers are very smart. they always improve as they move on to later phases.

unlike safa, southlake does not have a courtyard which means a bigger built up . it also has lots of glass which gives it a very bright and airy feel. i wonder what the price is like in the secondary market as the keys are yet to be delivered

Desa park city is getting nicer and nicer...

But at the same time... I am worry about the traffic when everything is ready.

I can feel it is very congested by looking at the small size of the road now,
Sad

Went to Southlake recently and managed to take some pics. Tried to post here but have no idea how to do it. This being my first post. Any fellow Southlakers can help? The facade looks rather nice but the interior was a bit disappointing.

Hi cruisetom, which unit you have? maybe we are neighbours? any other owners here?

Heard from sales office that a couple of 2 storey intermediate 22x75 went for 620-630k.

Still no luck in figuring out how to post pics. Any help? All houses and infrastructure in Southlake are basically 100% completed, just need to touch up and clean up some debris in the houses. Handover in 1-2 months time. I have checked with the sales office and there is no specific deadline for you to collect your keys. I think the only issue is the 18 mths liability period. Lucky for me coz i only go back KL every 3mths or so. No hurry then.

To load a pic, you will need to load it to the net, like your own blog and then link it to this forum using the [img] tag Smile
Simple as that. Good luck

Thanks to linustw and pat_pup for both your help.

The feature entrance to Southlake. Looks kinda like a typical suburb in Australia. Very Happy Hope they will tidy up that ugly looking blue water pipe. Urgh.. like a scar on an otherwise pretty face.

What you see as you enter Southlake. Dual lane entry and exit. Notice the new bungalow on the hill behind, thats Country Hts Damansara. The power lines are actually on the hill, on the other side of NKVE.

The access road to Southlake, looking towards the Ridgewood semi-d on the hill. Its wider than the normal single lane road but may end up congested if cars start parking by the side. Notice too the pedestrian path that will run around the central lake. Nice and wide for cycling and strolling. And there's a 3ft buffer between the path and road for landscaping. Good.

The view as you leave Southlake.

Site for future condo to the left as you leave. It should block the view of the apartments to Nadia condo's left.

Internal road. Not very wide i'm afraid. If cars park on both sides, only enough space for 1 car to pass. Unless of course park on pedestrian path but that would defeat the purpose.

The Central Park of Southlake. Pretty basic with just a children's playground.

Interior pics. Ceiling beams that segregates the living, dining and kitchen areas. Disappointed with DPC for leaving the beams exposed. Notice the cheap chainlink fence for the backyard? Aircons provided are Panasonic.

The view from master bed window. Would be nicer if they made it a bay window instead. Timber strip flooring but if i remember correctly, the skirting is painted wood, not timber.

Close up of the facade. The high ceiling for the bath looks like a chimney. Very Happy Plus the brick surface for the 'chimney' , makes house look unique and different. The nice straight roof makes the row of houses look more tidy. However, notice the ugly pipe running down from roof, between the windows. Spoils the look, should'nt the pipe be concealed? The porch roof is made of reinforced concrete. Looks ok in the pic but not so nice in actual, looks cheapo concrete. Maybe they still touching up?

Thanks again linustw and pat_pup for your help.

Thats all the pics i have for Southlake. Security is rather tight there, you can't go in unless you have an escort from DPC, something to do with safety. Luckily i manage to go in for a few minutes, then have to leave. Sad Hope security will be just as tight after moving in. Anyone knows if security entry is by card access? Is the home security linked to the guardhouse? DPC will provide free security for the first 3 years, then its up to the residents to take over. So no maintenance for 3 years Smile Just hope with fellow residents help, DBKL can maintain the park properly.

thanks congee for the nice photos. manage to speak with one sales rep in DPC, tentative handover is mid june. congee, i don't think the security is by card access and link to guard house. In DPC, this will happen only on strata titles unit with monthly management fee charge.

guys,

i've just got the letter from parkcity informing me that the house is ready to be handed over. mine is the one facing the main road, overlooking the man-made lake.

the street address is Jalan Denai Selatan. last i checked, denail means trail or footpath .. don't know why they named it that.

after seeing coogee's photo, i am kind of dissapointed with the ceiling and the size of the dry kitchen .. well, will get a better look soon.
