Currently I'm waiting a bumi quota unit to be open for public. Any advice?

1) How long I need to wait?
2) What is the procedure? like a normal purchase?

Thanks,

Jacky

...this kinda thing hard 2 say when will open.....................i think, at the earliest, oso have 2 wait 4 CF......

developer sum more will have 2 show that they have done all sorts of stuff 2 get rid of the Bumi units......stuff like they have put out ads, the discounts they give is attrcative .....7% etc..........

1 thing 2 bear in mind.......the price then even after converting 2 a non-bumi unit will in all likelihood b much higher than the earlier batch sold 2 the non-bumis.........

As some ppl have pointed out, the developer must prove "he has done all he can" to sell the unit to a bumi. Then the developer must apply to release the unit a non-bumi. Certain JV projects where the land owner is State Govt (PKNS), its almost impossible to get a bumi unit released.

But I heard that sometimes, there is a catch. The "release" is only valid for 1 transaction. Meaning, when u sell it, it must revert back to a bumi. So, please check the status carefully.

Even some of my Bumi friends are buying non-bumi unit and are willing to forgo the discount so that they can on-sell it easier.
