I wonder what is the status of construction now?
The last time when i saw the construction progress was 2 months ago when i attended the Starlight Cinema. From the Mahameru Link, i saw they are constructing third floor...
Any idea? |

It seems that they are going to complete the development much earlier than expected completion which is on March.2009.. this is a good news for us since we can save a lot of under construction period bank interest...
Giggs, yours in which floor?
Hi desparil, welcome. Are you one of the owner or interested buyer? |

Hi frenz,
I too bought a unit at The Saffron.
Just noticed YTL has posted some progress pics on their webby..
<< Sentul East - Saffron Progress Pictures. >>
Eventho it is said to be completed by 2009, can hardly wait... think they might finish it ahead of schedule (hopefully). But even if we waited longer, gives us more time to save money for the reno works and also lesser progress payment for the home loan. Like some here, I'm also wondering what is the new plan for the plot of land opposite The Saffron which was supposed to be a hypermarket. Whatever it is, hope it won't turn this into a congested area in the future.
felton/gks,
Speaking abt the height of the ceilings, did you notice that one of the rooms in The Saffron showhouse has lower ceilings than the rest of the rooms/hall ? i.e. the room beside the master bedroom. Will it be like this for the real unit ? Hope not...
I can finally save petrol by taking the commuter train to work after i move in. |

Hi guys,
Wishing you all and your family a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007.
Guy,
CONGRATULATIONS!!
I did not notice that one of the rooms has a lower ceilings than the rest of the rooms. hmmm..... should ask the sales guys.....
do let me know if you have any information.... up till now, the suppose replacement plan for the "hypermarket" has not yet been announced. i do not know abt any plans YTL have for it at the moment.
Do let us know if there is any updated information. I also believed that YTL construction progress is well in advance. |

Hi again guys, I just snapped some images while driving past by the apartments on the way to work in the morning (1st 2 pics) and one more while driving home (last pic).
Pls forgive the poor quality as I was trying to balance the camera while using one hand to control my car steering! (hope no traffic policeman is reading this, hehe!).

Latest pic update as at 26th July 2007 (Thursday)
Seeing that YTL's Website is kinda slow at updating the latest progress pictures , I took the opportunity to snap a few quickies as I was crawling on the Sentul Link on my way back from work today. Yep, unfortunately the link has somewhat become kinda popular for many people and it is slowly becoming congested! Hopefully when the DUKE highway is completed, we won't have this traffic-jam nonsense for the residents.
Getting back to the pics, here they are, looks like Blocks A & B are progressing very well with walls already up and painted. The most complete seems to be Block B which look very handsome indeed with the paint colours of white and gray(?) which contrasts well with the creamy colours of the adjacent Tamarind apartments. Meanwhile, the two taller blocks C & D are still taking a while to complete as they are taller than the earlier 2 blocks A & B. The website says Blocks A & B are 17-stories while Blocks C & D are 24-stories. Bet the owners of Blocks A & B already paying higher progress payments to the banks by now!
Now I'm looking at some interior design ideas on how to furnish my Saffron unit, really can't wait for it to be completed! Very exciting indeed.

Still browsing some interior design ideas. All of them look fantastic, really hard time to decide. But I guess will be limited by the size of my pocket. Hehehe.
Did you guys hear abt the new D7 project (by YTL also) at the empty field in front of Tamarind ? Looks like a good place to hangout in future (cafes, etc). |

gks, I receive my newsletter much later than you (just last week).
Yup, it mentioned about the kitchen just as you mentioned. I called their marketing office to ask for brochures/samples of the kitchen but they said this is still under planning. Sigh.
I guess we gotta wait for their next newsletter for the update on the kitchen options. If it's good, why not?
If you guys have any picture updates, do post them here! Thanks a bunch. |

Helo frens,
I just received a progress payment from YTL yesterday in the office. Seems like they have completed the drainage. All that is left is the roadworks.
Oh boy.. the excitement is building now. I think YTL will complete this project ahead of schedule for sure. Imagine now is only last quarter of 2007 while they originally targeted the project to complete in 2009. That is like 1 year earlier completion!!!
Oh btw, I just took some more pictures. Will update when I can.
Cheers! |

Hi guys,
It was written in the papers that the completion is expected to be on Jan 2008 which is a year ahead of schedule but i am not sure about handing over of the keys. (But we need to take note that the foundation construction has already been done since the condominium is built over an abandoned project). |

Yes, Block A & B looks completed where else scaffolding, windows for Block D not fully installed yet..
IMO, i think handover in Jan.08 (in 3 months time!) a bit too ambitious... I think they still need to finish the common area, facilities, landscaping, QC, invite local authorities for inspection etc...
Btw, did any of you guys receive letter for kitchen upgrade? |
