Hey there,

Hopefully this post goes under the correct topic. Just wanted to know if there's anyone selling their condo/apt units over in Taman Desa because I am currently renting within the same area and the owner wants it back.

Been thinking about investing in Desa Permai but missed my chance because the agent I was dealing with sold it off, despite my confirmation on the purchase Sad

If possible, I'd appreciate contacts SANS agents hopefully. Direct is best, or so I've sadly discovered. My budget is about 200-240K. I don't know if this budget is enough for this area. I really appreciate the help I can get. Thanks!

Saw some advertisment on Casa Desa. The price has increased tremendously (average 300 000) compare to the price it was launched.

Hi there, sorry this is coming a few months after your first post, but I believe you are able to get a unit at Faber Ria for your budget. I happen to know that there are a couple of low rise units going for sale if you are interested. Call me biased, but I've liked the low rise units for many years and recently bought one and am staying there now.

HI all! Thanks for posting your replies..really appreciate it.|

CH Wong: I'm currently in Abadi Indah and I am quite disappointed with how the management works. IF they work at all. Unfortunately, because of unforseen circumstances, I have to stay here a while.

Faber Ria has been around for some time. How's the management like? I don't mind having a look although the exterior didn't attract my attention Smile initially. Maybe I shall pop by and look at it. Also 382 units - are they mostly populated by locals or foreigners?

Pinkberry and js3333y: Casa Desa is seriously high density! I went there when they have launched and they told me only a few units were left. But nearing August, they suddenly had extra parking lots for new buyers and they hiked up the price. Possibly to compensate for the additional parking bay, I don't know.

Hi Dawen, I don't know much about Abadi Indah, sorry to hear about how inefficient they are. Faber Ria came up in 1985. I saw it go up while I was growing up in Taman Desa. I've always wanted a low-rise unit here since my teenage years as I hung out here at a friend's place a lot. I finally got one this year and have lived here for a few months.

The low-rise units have a unique split level design. I must agree that the exterior leaves much to be desired. But once management (who are alright so far) decides to give the building a facelift with fresh paint, it should look good and value should go up a bit. One example is to look at Faber Heights. They had their buildings painted a few years back and they value's been really good since.

Population here is quite mixed I think. There are foreigners but not a huge percentage.
