|
|
I am currently on the fence on whether to add another layer of plaster ceiling to the master bedroom or not. The master bedroom came with plaster ceiling ready, but the ceiling is not level through out the room. If leveled the ceiling to the height of the low side ceiling then it will be a neat full even surface for the whole master bedroom. The ceiling height is still over 9ft after leveled. But downside is the plaster ceiling will cause ~RM400 to 500. Any ideas? opinion? suggestion?

| firstly, it depends on yr budget. the other thing is if u felt that by covering that space makes it nicer to yr eyes, go ahead and do it as diff people have diff opinions. importantly u must be happy with it |

Thanks for the feedback. I am hoping for someone with similar situation before shared some of their thoughts. How they see and feel it before and after they did it. I am currently undecided. I won't mind spending the 400 extra, but i definitely do not what to spend the money and end up regretting the decision |

| dont do it. The higher the ceiling, the better. Why? Higher ceiling will make you feel the space more spacious. If you instal ceiling fan with lower ceiling, the fan will eat up another 1 1/2 feet and you will feel the room more 'sempit'. |

Below is the full picture of my master bedroom ceiling. As you can see there is partial beam expose on the left side and there is another lower part ceiling on the right side. I feel it is not pleasant to the eyes but also afraid that the room will feel lower like you all said.

| dude. One solution I can give you. Stick a mirror to the whole beam on the left and another at your right beam. You can buy IKEA's 4 pieces mirror at $19.90 and stick it there. It solved the low ceiling dilemma and create an illusion that the beam is not there. |
