Well in my experience.. most customer want to find which bank provide the best interest reduction because as lower the interest charge, the lower your instalment will be.. this is so far the main reason for when searching for the bank..

Another factor beyond that whether the bank can offer zero cost/free moving cost for you or not.. Meaning will the bank cover the legal fee/valuation fee for you or not..

However my advise for you is even though you have a best interest, you need to be extra precaution with these offer.. because through my experience facing customer.. they at last minute looking for my bank because previously they said they do get better interest rate.. however after that they have been charged too many and sometime they feel that they have been cheated because the officer before did not mention all these thing..

So in conclusion, you need to do all these thing..
1.) make sure to ask the officer what kind of package they have.. what is the benefit for each package.. ( for e.g islamic what is the benefit? Home Flexi what is the benefit..
2.) Is there any charge involve when choosing these package..
3.) Will you be able to make principal reduction immediately without giving notive..
4.) Try to get the officer (who get in charge for your loan), who can always provide the services for you.. meaning, when after signing the letter offer, most officer just dissapeared like that making customer confuse on who they want to refer in term of lawyer , valuation, disbursement.. (i'm talking about after-sales service)..

so far that what i can think..

Very Happy

I dont have knowledge in housing , developer side, or anything about good financial plan.. Haha.
But, I do know, go for Zero-Cost-Flexi Plan. Get more info from the bank, some banks have transparent policies , terms that is hidden from customer till they start paying for the installment , and they go " Ohhh... oh..... I regret taking this package "
So far, Foreign banks (HSBC, Standarad Chartered, Citi Bank) are still the most preferred choice.

It depends on individuals.
