Hi,

I recently sell my double storey link house to a buyer at rm410k.

I still have bal loan of the house about 100k.

Buyer already get offer letter for loan from bank to buy the house and already signed.

Sales agreement already made, signed and stamped.

How long do the land office takes to process this consent in order for the buyer's bank to disburst the loan?

Do the bank need to wait for the consent before they make the disbursment to my lawyer?

What kind of consent? Is it for a leasehold property? Then two consents is required, consent to transfer and consent to charge. Both is required for the bank to release the money. In some states you can get it both at the same time and in others separately. Reply from the relevant Land Office can take anywhere from three weeks to 2 months.
