You can still get a home equity loan if you have bad credit!..Simply because you have bad credit doesn’t mean you’re exempt of finding a home equity loan. However, the reality is, you’re rates and options of loans will not be exactly what you had hoped.
Unfortunately, you have to suffer for the low credit score. Don’t you worry. Those numbers aren’t permanent and you can always get yourself out of that bad credit hole..

may i know how the rating can be better again. I mean, I have paid my cards late several times... Do I have to pay in advance for the months to come to undo the late payment. Or is the bad rating will erase itself after good payment habit in the future... |

welll getting loan is difficult if someone has bad credit but i think it does not only depends upon only bad credit , many other factors are count.

| There are these new loan platforms online that I recently read an article on where you can take out private loans over the internet and as far as I understood bad credit there is at least less an issue than at normal banks! |

Hi, as you can see am pretty new here but could not hold back myself seeing this comment. I have been turned down by three banks just because I had bad credit. Maybe the rules in Malaysia are liberal to this aspect, but it is too hard for me to complete the task on hand without any assistance. Am in a situation now where I cant think of anything properly, say if someone assures me I am going to get a loan for building house in Malaysia am ready to sell my property here and settle to that place. Seriously friends the attitude of banks towards me has led to so much frustration.

Perhaps you qualify for an FHA mortgage. It's a mortgage on which the lender is insured against loss by the Federal Housing Administration, with the borrower paying the mortgage insurance premium. The major advantage of an FHA mortgage is that the required down payment is very low, but the maximum loan amount is also low.

Can't blame the bank for not loaning to those with bad credit.
Would you loan a friend who is known to be a bad paymaster? Same thing to the bank.
Having a bad credit is what you brought upon yourself.
Occasionally being late for 1 payment in your loans/facilities is ok. Sometimes the cut off date and salary crediting date caused it, banks do understand. But being frequently late for 2 payment? That is as well as telling the bank 'PLEASE DONT APPROVE ME' |
