Patrick, but you'll have a huge downpayment from the sale of your fully paid (envy) Sunway house mah. 90% loan means you can buy a 3 million ringgit house!!! Shocked

Patrick, 3 million bucks and you're still thinking of Cassie only? 3 million no need to imagine you're in bungalow, because you are in one.

Brutus, actually I don't think kitchens would cost much less than that, unless you go for the laminate top and all the cheapest materials for the cabinets. The solid surface tops that are all the rage these days cost even more than the granite I used.

Oh man, you're in for a shock when you visit the kitchen cabinet shops. The cheapest solid surface is about RM180 to RM200 per foot run, but they're usually quite ugly and you wouldn't be able to accept them after seeing the nicer ones. The expensive ones are about RM300 to RM400 per foot run. So let's say you got about 20 feet in both dry and wet kitchen, you're looking at RM6k to RM8k just for the kitchen top. Add the cost of the cabinets and you're looking at big bucks.

Sometimes better to just leave the kitchen empty and go eat chap fan every night.

OK, so my estimates are not far off. Unless you live in a small apartment with only 10 feet of kitchen, most DSL with dry and wet kitchen should cost you more than 10k easily, unless like I said, you go for the cheapest materials for both the top and the cabinets.

Ooooh, don't even get me started on islands. They cost even more money because all 4 sides must have the cabinet material. Sorry to be the wet blanket. But we have confidence in you. Just shut your eyes, hold your nose and jump in!!!

How is the stainless steel? Are there "water marks"?

Brutus - islands are perfect ler but reality is unless you have a very big kitchen then an island is not practical Wink

You must get somet tips from LBI how he got his wifey to pay for the SK Cool

If all else fails - think of it as a perfect investment for wonderful home cooked meals daily Smile Think of coming back to yummy hot meals everyday ............................... And and and the more healthy you are, the harder u can work and the nearer you are to that bungalow ....................................................... Cool Cool Wink Wink
